No valid means for such evaluation, however, has been developed. So, we developed a questionnaire for students to evaluate themselves subjectively using VAS (Visual Analog Scale) including items in the categories of main concepts, skills and attitudes, and applied it for a recent overseas study tour. Physical therapy students participating in the study tour for the United State of America held in March 2004 were our subjects. We asked them to fill out the questionnaire at the beginning and at the end of the trip. Nine students' responds were eligible for analysis. The result suggests that they became understanding significantly deeper about cultural variety, mutual dependent and partnership, conflict and solution in the categories of main concepts. Also it is suggested that they significantly improved their skills of information utilization, communication and critical thinking, and strengthened their readiness to concern about, others, and their readiness for participation in their society.
