In the fi rst part of the paper, the overall current situation regarding people with disabilities who need prosthetics/ orthotics devices is introduced. In the second part, prosthetics and orthotics education taking place in developing countries is described, based on what the writer has been involved with in the past 3 years in Thailand and the other countries. In addition, the writer's perspective about a possible key to success in international cooperation regarding P&O education is described as a summary.},
