The study applies, based on the triangle model of oral reading, a cognitive neuropsychological approach to the mechanism of kana-kanji dissociation in oral reading exhibited by the subject. The approach was made on the hypothesis that kana words are mainly processed through the phonological route at high conversion rates from orthography to phonology, whereas kanji words are primarily processed through the semantic route at low conversion rates. It is also assumed that picture naming is processed through the semantic route. If the subject has damage to phonological representations, the phonology will not be sufficiently activated through the semantic route and, he may suffer from kanji dyslexia and word-finding difficulties as a result. The subject performed well in oral reading of kana because it is assumed that oral reading of kana effectively activated phonological representations through the phonological route. The subject also exhibited significant picture cue effects in oral reading of kana. This is probably because of the summation effects that were produced by the relatively strong activation of phonology through the phonological route, and by the activation of phonology through the semantic route prompted by picture cueing. In case of oral reading of kanji, on the other hand, it is suggested that the phonological activation through the phonological route did not take place nor did the summation effects by picture cueing.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_19_publisher_35":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"Niigata Society of Health and Welfare"}]},"item_19_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA11614542","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_19_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1346-8782","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_19_text_47":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ・NII","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"Journal Article"}]},"item_19_text_48":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ・DCMI","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"text"}]},"item_19_version_type_18":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"Yamagishi, Tatsuya"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2019-10-30"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"027_035_e1001.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"566.1 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"027_035_e1001.pdf","url":"https://nsg.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/3943/files/027_035_e1001.pdf"},"version_id":"1df1f50f-f70d-434d-bf3e-1d025d8d8d2d"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"kana","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"kanji","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"triangle model","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"cognitive neuropsychology","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"A Cognitive Neuropsychological Approach to the Mechanism of Kana-Kanji Dissociation in Oral Reading","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"A Cognitive Neuropsychological Approach to the Mechanism of Kana-Kanji Dissociation in Oral Reading"}]},"item_type_id":"19","owner":"1","path":["57"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2012-05-18"},"publish_date":"2012-05-18","publish_status":"0","recid":"3943","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["A Cognitive Neuropsychological Approach to the Mechanism of Kana-Kanji Dissociation in Oral Reading"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":1},"updated":"2023-05-15T12:05:00.390167+00:00"}
